A Tale Of Two Kids

It’s just a tale,
A tale of two kids,
They were teens in school,
And best of friends.
They were loners, I guess,
Social outcasts at best,
Challenged in the class,
That they could hardly pass.

But oh, they dreamed of brighter days,
When time would lead them on their way.
Side by side through the highs and lows,
Acceptance found on the road less traveled, I suppose.

Bullied in the yard,
When there wasn’t a guard,
Tried their best,
To be like the rest.
Parents were poor,
Second-hand clothes they wore,
Society’s outcasts,
Heading for the draft.

But oh, they dreamed of brighter days,
When time would lead them on their way.
Side by side through the highs and lows,
Acceptance found on the road less traveled, I suppose.

War was engaged,
Overseas they raged,
Living on the front lines,
They spent their time.
Two years had passed,
Returned home at last,
Not a hero’s welcome,
They live on the street.

But oh, they dreamed of brighter days,
When time would lead them on their way.
Side by side through the highs and lows,
Acceptance found on the road less traveled, I suppose.

Pass the time,
Looking for food to eat,
Too proud to beg,
Will they ever find their way?
How their story goes,
No one knows,
Is anyone there,
Does anyone care?

But oh, they dreamed of brighter days,
When time would lead them on their way.
Side by side through the highs and lows,
Acceptance found on the road less traveled, I suppose.

It’s just a tale,
A tale of two kids,
They were teens in school,
And best of friends.
They were loners, I guess,
Social outcasts at best,
Through the pain and the sorrow,
They found their way,

Shack Door (Come Back Home)

You Keep Walking Out The Shack Door
Say You Don’t Love Me Anymore
Keep Walking Out That Shack Door
Say You Don’t Love Me Anymore
But When Night Time Rolls Around
You Keep Coming Back For More

You Left Me In December
You Left Me Cold And Alone
You Left Me In December
You Left Me Cold And Alone
Been A Lonely Day But Tonight
My Baby She Be Coming Back Home

I Saw You At The Station
Said You Were Ready To Roll
I Saw You At The Station
Bags All Packed Up To Go
But When That Train Whistle Blows
You Be Turning Round For Home

You Keep Walking Out The Shack Door
Say You Don’t Love Me Anymore
Keep Walking Out That Shack Door
Say You Don’t Love Me Anymore
But When Daytime Turns To Night
You Keep Coming Back For More
